Nice to meet you

Community builder, educator, and independent strategist based in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Nearly a decade inside high-growth tech and AI: from early-stage startups, where I wore almost every hat, to serving as the first Community Lead at Scale AI and, most recently, at Lovable.

I learned a lot about how ambitious organizations grow and what it really costs when the business side of the work comes at the expense of the human side.

Now I partner with mission-driven individuals and organizations who believe authenticity, belonging, and connection are practices—not performances.

I care more about the relationship than the transaction. If you do too, let’s start with a conversation. The first one’s always on me.

People. Programs. Processes.

Approach

Whatever you're building probably has three parts: the people, the programs that bring them together, and the processes underneath.

At the intersection of these three parts is also where your values live. Values that only exist in a mission statement aren't values yet. They're intentions.

My job is to make sure what you believe is visible in how you operate.

People.

Strategic advising, mentorship, and teaching.

Community and belonging strategy, onboarding and member journeys, volunteers and teams, and the skills that empower people to use their voice and be heard.

Programs.

Designing community strategy, marketing, and communications.

Community outreach and gatherings. The engagement that keeps people coming back, the campaigns and activations that bring people in, and the story you tell about it afterward.

Processes.

Building out operations and AI implementation.

The layer underneath. Workflow and operations design, documentation, automation, AI adoption, dashboards and reporting, and the systems that let programs run without bottlenecks.

Values

How we treat each other

People are the point

Advocacy runs through everything I do. I will speak for the people your work serves, especially when they aren't in the room, which means asking who carries the cost of a decision and naming the assumptions none of us have questioned yet. Every choice we make lands on someone. I will keep us honest and always bring us back to them.

Authenticity as practice, not performance

Authenticity is a way of being, not branding. I show up as myself, I'm not here to judge you or what you've built, and I want to support you. The people I collaborate with tend to care deeply about their work, and that energy is easier to build on when nobody is posturing. Consider this an invitation to drop performances and hierarchies.

Clear is kind

Candor, communicated early and with compassion, is the most generous thing I can offer you. I will tell you what I see, ask challenging questions, and name what you might be too close to notice, always with respect and in service of the work, never at your expense. Clarity is a form of care, not criticism. I welcome the same from you.

Relationships over transactions

Alignment matters more than a contract. The most meaningful work I've been part of started as a conversation with no agenda, and it flourished because the relationship came before the deliverable. Human-centered work starts by being human with each other, so collaboration is exploratory and joyful rather than transactional. Whether we're a good fit or not, I’ll tell you.

Sustainable by design

Sustainability is a requirement, not a nice-to-have. I won't build a system that only works if someone sacrifices themselves to run it, or that causes harm to the people it touches, and I don’t work that way myself. I've been inside enough places that ran on burnout to know how that ends, so you'll always get options for how the work can happen. If a plan depends on heroics, it’s not a plan.

Working together

Every engagement starts with a conversation.
The first one is on me.

You'll tell me what's going on. I'll ask a lot of questions. Then I'll send a proposal based on what I heard, with what I'd recommend and why.

I enjoy connecting with people, especially those whose heart is in their work. Even if we don't work together, you'll stay in my network. I'll keep an eye out for people and opportunities that might be good for you, and I'll remain a resource for you.

Different ways we can work together

With you: I bring the structure. You own the decisions and the execution.

For you: A clear scope, built by me and handed off, with everything you or your team need to run it.

Advising: A thought partner for when you know what you're doing and want to think it through with someone.

What happens next?

Onboarding, Communication, and Documentation

Once we've agreed on a direction, we'll dive deeper: what matters most, what's taking up your capacity, and what your ideal outcomes look like.

People take in information differently, so we'll set the rhythm around how you like to work: regular check-ins, written or audio updates in between, and a plan built around your real capacity, not an ideal version of it. Everything I deliver comes with documentation, so you can run it and adapt as you grow.

Structure

Retainers: Three or more months, usually for organizations.

Project-based agreements: Specific deliverables, running shorter or longer depending on the work, typically three to six months.

Blocks of sessions: Mentorship and advising, six to twelve as standard. At least one session a month.

Whatever shape the engagement takes, what you walk away with is the same — people, programs, and processes that support each other, your values unmistakable in how you operate, and your mission at the center of all of it.
